I work with adults throughout Florida, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico from my home city of Tucson, Arizona. I offer sessions by video only (I don’t offer in-person sessions); to work with me, all you need is some privacy and a smartphone, tablet, or computer to use for video calls. I provide both individual therapy (with just one client) and couples/relationship therapy (with relationship partners together).
I welcome couples, with low to moderate conflict, who are committed to improving their relationship. If there is a high level of conflict in your relationship (for instance, ongoing anger, blame, and hostility), or if either partner is intending to leave the relationship soon, consult another provider who specializes in these issues. If your partner isn’t committed to improving the relationship, consider individual therapy for yourself. I have a no-secrets policy for couples/relationship therapy (which means that if you and your partner are doing couples/relationship therapy with me together, and you share information with me one-on-one, I may share that information with your partner).
I welcome clients who have children; however, I specialize in relationships between independent adults. If you’re seeking support for a parenting-related issue, or if you’re seeking a therapist for an adult child of yours to help them become less dependent on you, consult another therapist who specializes in these issues.
I don’t provide child custody evaluation or any other type of forensic (court-related) evaluation; I don’t provide child custody recommendation letters or other forensic evaluations of my clients, their romantic partners, or their family members, since this would involve a conflict of interest. (As your therapist, my role is to be therapeutic; this is incompatible with the role of a forensic expert, which is to be objective.) If you need a forensic evaluation, consult a forensic psychologist.
I welcome clients who want to heal from abuse or domestic violence that happened in the past. If someone is using abuse or violence to maintain power and control over you now (whether it’s physical abuse, sexual abuse, verbal/emotional abuse, mental/psychological abuse, financial/economic abuse, or cultural/identity abuse), go to the website of the National Domestic Violence Hotline to get help, or call the hotline at 1.800.799.SAFE (7233).
I welcome a diversity of clients. I’m kink affirming and LGBTQ affirming, and I’m comfortable discussing gender and sexual issues. I’m BIPOC friendly and anti-racist, and I welcome clients who have experienced any form of oppression. I’m poly affirming; I welcome both monogamous and polyamorous clients, and I welcome clients participating in polycules (relationships involving more than two people). However, due to limitations in my systems, I am currently unable to provide couples/relationship therapy with more than two clients together.
My approach to therapy is eclectic; I bring all my knowledge, experience, and intuition to my work with each client. My work is informed by EMDR, mindfulness, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing, as well as humanistic and transpersonal psychology.
My current fees are:
- $148 per 50-minute couples/relationship session,
- $148 per 60-minute individual session, and
- $111 per 45-minute individual session.
I recommend the session lengths above for most clients, but I offer other session lengths, as well; fees for longer and shorter sessions are based on my regular full fee ($177.60 per hour for couples/relationship sessions and $148.00 per hour for individual sessions).
I usually adjust my fees on January 1 and July 1 of each year.
I accept payment by credit card and debit card only (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club). A good faith estimate explaining these fees is available on request.
The only insurances I take (in-network) are Western Sky Community Care, Ambetter, and the New Mexico fee-for-service payment system. If you want to seek out-of-network reimbursement yourself, I will provide a monthly receipt/superbill you can submit to your insurance.
