I offer sessions by video only (I don’t offer in-person sessions); to work with me, all you need is some privacy and a smartphone, tablet, or computer to use for video calls.
My Clients
I work with adults throughout Florida, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico from my home city of Tucson, Arizona. I work with individuals only (not relationship partners together).
I welcome clients who have children; however, I specialize in relationships between independent adults. If you’re seeking support for a parenting-related issue, or if you’re seeking a therapist for an adult child of yours to help them become less dependent on you, consult another therapist who specializes in these issues.
I welcome clients who are considering divorce (or are in the process of divorce) because I recognize that divorce is sometimes a part of relationships. Since divorce can involve complex legal and financial issues that I cannot advise you on, if you are divorcing, you may also need to consult legal and financial professionals.
I don’t provide child custody evaluation or any other type of forensic (court-related) evaluation; I don’t provide child custody recommendation letters or other forensic evaluations of my clients, their romantic partners, or their family members, since this would involve a conflict of interest. (As your therapist, my role is to be therapeutic; this is incompatible with the role of a forensic expert, which is to be objective.) If you need a forensic evaluation, consult a forensic psychologist.
I welcome clients who want to heal from domestic violence that happened in the past. If someone is using abuse or violence to maintain power and control over you now, go to the website of the National Domestic Violence Hotline to get help, or call the hotline at 1.800.799.SAFE (7233).
I welcome a diversity of clients. I’m poly friendly (I welcome both monogamous and polyamorous clients). I’m kink friendly, I’m LGBTQIA+ friendly, and I’m comfortable discussing gender and sexual issues. I’m BIPOC friendly and anti-racist, and I welcome clients who have experienced any form of oppression.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is eclectic; I bring all my knowledge, experience, and intuition to my work with each client. My work is informed by EMDR, mindfulness, attachment theory, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing, as well as humanistic and transpersonal psychology.
My Fees
My current fees are:
- $160 per couples therapy session,
- $160 per 60-minute individual therapy session,
- $120 per 45-minute individual therapy session,
- $80 per 30-minute individual therapy session, and
- $40 for each additional 15 minutes of therapy.
I recommend 60-minute or 45-minute sessions for most clients.
I usually adjust my fees on January 1 and July 1 of each year to reflect inflation and increased knowledge, skills, and experience.
I accept payment by credit card and debit card only (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club). A good faith estimate explaining these fees is available on request.
Insurance
The only insurances I take are Western Sky Community Care, Ambetter, and the New Mexico fee-for-service payment system. If you want to seek out-of-network reimbursement yourself, I will provide a monthly receipt you can submit to your insurance; reimbursement is not guaranteed.
